If you are using the brush with the paint brush tool, change the flow and opacity options before you use the brush. You can control how transparent the brush or isn’t. cheers for the advice
amazing that i’d get a response so quickly.
Unfortunately the flow and opacity (in the brush settings along the top) are both set to 100% and the leaves are still semi transparent. any further advicce you can give me would be very much appreciated. am checking out your forum as we speak. this brush woould be perfect for the task i have in hand and henceforth it would be great to get it working. oh yeah - am using cs3
cheers

If you are trying to make the leaves 100% opaque - you can use the brush as you normally would and then use layer styles to change it.
Use the brush on an empty layer. Then go to the blending options for the layer. Go to color overlay. You can use the color overlay to make the brush 100% opaque with whatever color you choose.
Let us know if that works for you.
